Location
On the line connecting ➞ LU-5 (in the cubital crease) and ➞ LU-9 (on the wrist crease/joint space), 5 cun distal to ➞ LU-5 or 7 cun proximal to ➞ LU-9.
How to find
The biceps tendon becomes more visible with the arm flexed. First, locate ➞ LU-5 radial to the biceps tendon in the cubital crease and ➞ LU-9 radial to the radial artery on the wrist joint space (➞ 3.3.3) between the proximal row of carpals and the radius/ulna. By moving the hand, the joint space becomes more easily palpable. Next, find the midpoint of the distance between➞ LU-5 and ➞ LU-9 using the spreading hand's technique(➞ 2.3.3). LU-6 is located 1 cun proximal to the midpoint of the distance.➞ P-4 is located more medially (between the tendons) and distally (1 cun distal to the midpoint of the distance).
